CISA: China’s daily crude steel output edges upward in early June

On June 19, the China Iron and Steel Association (CISA) announced that in early June (June 1-10) this year the average aggregate daily crude steel output of large and medium-sized steel producers in China totaled 1.7318 million mt, up 1.3 percent compared to late May (May 21-31). Meanwhile, the average aggregate daily crude steel production of all steelmakers in China in early June was estimated at 2.1563 million mt, up 0.1 percent compared with late May, showing a slight rebound following the decreases recorded in mid-May and in late May. 

According to the CISA's figures, as of June 10 this year the finished steel inventories held by large and medium-sized steel producers in China amounted to 12.867 million mt, decreasing by 117,000 mt compared to the end of May.
