CISA: China’s apparent crude steel use to total 683 million mt in 2016

According to a new report issued by the China Iron and Steel Association (CISA), in 2016 China is expected to produce 788 million mt of crude steel and 770 million mt of finished steel, both decreasing by two percent year on year.
 
As indicated by the CISA, China’s apparent consumption of crude steel will likely amount to 683 million mt in 2016. In addition, the CISA foresees that in 2016 China will import 12 million mt of finished steel, while it will export 100 million mt of finished steel, down 6.1 percent and decreasing by 11.01 percent year on year, respectively.
