ChTPZ releases Jan-Oct operational results

One of the largest Russian pipe producers, ChTPZ Group, consisting of Chelyabinsk Tube Rolling Plant (ChTPZ) and Pervouralsky Novotrubny Works, has announced its operational results for the first ten months of 2008.

Accordingly, during the period in question, the group decreased its pipe shipments by 14 percent year on year to 1.390 million metric tons.

During the first ten months of 2008, Chelyabinsk Tube Rolling Plant (ChTPZ) registered a decrease of 17 percent in its pipe deliveries to 737,500 mt, including a 28 percent fall in its large diameter pipe deliveries to 355,900 mt, both compared with the same period last year.

On the other hand, Pervouralsky Novotrubny Works' January-October pipe shipments decreased by 11 percent year on year, amounting to 652,300 mt.
