ChTPZ increases steel pipe shipments to Russia in Q1

Russia-based steel pipe producer ChTPZ Group has announced its production results for the first quarter of this year.

Accordingly, in the January-March period, ChTPZ shipped 382,100 mt of steel pipes to customers, representing an eight percent decrease compared to the same period of 2012, including 323,900 mt of steel pipes to the Russian domestic market, up 10 percent year on year.

In the first quarter this year, ChTPZ shipped 236,000 mt of seamless pipes, including 85,000 mt of oil country tubular goods (OCTG), up 50 percent year on year, while its shipments of welded pipes amounted to 146,000 mt, including 136,000 mt of large diameter pipes.
