ChTPZ announces Jan-Oct operational results

One of the largest Russian pipe producers, ChTPZ Group, which consists of Chelyabinsk Tube Rolling Plant (ChTPZ) and Pervouralsky Novotrubny Works (PNTZ), has announced that during the first ten months of 2009, it registered a 34 percent decrease year on year in its pipe deliveries to 921,800 metric tons.
 
In particular, during the period in question, the pipe deliveries of ChTPZ amounted to 467,700 mt, including 292,100 mt of large diameter pipes. In October alone, ChTPZ shipped 42,400 mt of pipes - down 11.8 percent month on month, including 26,000 mt of large diameter pipes.

On the other hand, PNTZ's pipe shipments in January-October this year amounted to 454,100 mt; meanwhile, its October deliveries totaled 47,500 mt - up 2.8 percent month on month, including more than 2,000 mt of pipes for the petroleum industry.
