Chongqing Group posts net loss of RMB 2.227 billion for H1

Chongqing-based Chinese steelmaker Chongqing Iron & Steel Group Co. (Chongqing Group) has announced that in the first half of the current year it recorded an operating revenue of RMB 4.505 billion ($0.70 billion), down 25.22 percent year on year, with a net loss of RMB 2.227 billion ($0.35 billion) compared to the net loss of RMB 945 million in the same period of 2014.

In the first half this year, Chongqing Group produced 1.77 million mt of pig iron, 1.79 million mt of crude steel and 1.62 million mt of finished steel, indicating decreases of 15.68 percent, 13.55 percent and 15.62 percent year on year, respectively.
