Chongqing Steel’s finished steel output down 11.8 percent in 2012

On January 7, Chongqing-based Chinese steelmaker Chongqing Iron and Steel Co. (Chongqing Steel), a subsidiary of Chongqing Iron and Steel (Group) Co., issued its finished steel output for December 2012 and for the whole year of 2012.
 
In December, Chongqing Steel produced 440,100 mt of finished steel, increasing by 68.17 percent month on month and by 6.04 percent compared to December 2011. In the whole year of 2012, the overall finished steel output of Chongqing Steel totaled 4,705,600 mt, down 11.8 percent year on year.
