Chongqing Steel Group targets sales revenue of RMB 27 billion in 2014

On January 3, Chinese steelmaker Chongqing Iron and Steel (Group) Co. announced that in 2014 it plans to produce 6.42 million mt of pig iron, 6 million mt of crude steel, 5.65 million mt of finished steel and 3.065 million mt of coke. The steel producer is also targeting sales revenues of RMB 27 billion ($4.41 billion) in 2014.
 
At the start of 2013, Chongqing Iron and Steel Group had set 2013 production targets of 6.8 million mt of pig iron, 7 million mt of crude steel, 6.58 million mt of finished steel and 3.15 million mt of coke, while it had set a sales revenue target of of RMB 34 billion ($5.55 billion) for the year.
