Chinese stainless flat steel exports to Taiwan and Korea surge in April

In April this year, China exported 339,407 mt of stainless flat steel products, up 38.67 percent over 244,780 mt in March, and up 72.39 percent compared to the same period last year, according to the latest data from the Chinese customs authorities. Taiwan is still the major destination for Chinese stainless flat steel exports, receiving a total of 105,402 mt in April, up 53.29 percent month on month and rising by 51.8 percent year on year. Meanwhile, Chinese stainless flat steel exports to South Korea in April amounted to 79,121 mt, up 60.41 percent month on month and increasing by 181.53 percent year on year.

During the first four months of this year, China exported a total of 1 million mt of stainless flat steel products, up 53.67 percent year on year.
