Chinese Premier to discuss potential investments in Brazil with President Rousseff

An announcement by Jose Graca Lima, the Brazilian undersecretary of the Foreign Ministry Policy, Chinese Premier Li Keqiang will travel to Brazil on May 18 to meet with President Dilma Rousseff, in order to realize more than 40 agreements of around 50 billion dollars.

The negotiations are for investments in infrastructure sectors, electricity, industry, and steel, in addition to the signature of other strategic documents to strengthen bilateral relations. Also discussed will be the construction of a transcontinental railway to link the Atlantic and Pacific oceans, through Peru and Brazil.
