Chinese mill WISCO sets up branch in New York

Hubei Province-based Chinese steelmaker Wuhan Iron and Steel Group (WISCO) has given the go-ahead to WISCO International Economic & Trading Co. (IETC) to set up a new US-based branch in New York. IETC initially established a base in the US in 2008, launching WISCO (USA) Trading Co. in Los Angeles.

WISCO (USA), with its profit of RMB 9.6 million ($1.41 million), ranked first among WISCO's eight international companies last year. WISCO also has a branch in Canada.
