Near the top of the agenda when Chinese Prime Minister Wen Jiabao meets with his Indian counterpart, Manmohan Singh, today in New Delhi [c1]will be discussion on a five-year plan for economic and trade cooperation. At the heart of the plan is the establishment of the world's largest free trade zone. The countries had a bilateral trade volume of $13.6 billion in 2004. The delegations from both sides will also work to establish a barter agreement whereby China will ship coal to India and in return will receive high-grade iron.
