Chinese daily crude steel output stood at 1.7 million mt in August

The latest data announced by China Iron and Steel Association (CISA) has revealed that in August 21-31, CISA member steelmakers' total crude steel output was 15.38 million mt while their daily average output stood at 1.4 million mt.
It is estimated that whole domestic steel output was 18.5 million mt in the period in question, with average daily output standing at 1.68 million mt. The domestic daily output was 30,000 mt or two percent lower than the August 11-20 data.
According to CISA data, China's daily crude steel output was 1.7 million mt in August, which compares to 1.66 million mt in July.
