China’s retail sales of consumer goods rise by 11 percent in October

In October this year, China’s total retail sales of consumer goods amounted to RMB 2.8279 trillion ($0.44 trillion), up 11.0 percent year on year, while the figure for the January-October period this year totaled RMB 24.4359 trillion ($3.84 trillion), up 10.6 percent year on year, as announced by China’s National Bureau of Statistics.

In particular, total automotive vehicle sales in China amounted to a value of RMB 311.7 billion ($48.97 billion) in October, while totaling RMB 2.8452 trillion ($0.45 trillion) in the January-October period, rising by 7.1 percent and 4.5 percent year on year, respectively.
