China’s overall rail freight volume up 7.86 percent in January-July

In the January-July period this year, China’s rail freight volume totaled 1.98112 billion mt, up 7.86 percent compared to the rail freight volume of 1.83678 billion mt in the same period of 2014, as announced by China Railway Corporation on August 12.

In the given period, China’s railways transported 1.46383 billion passengers, up 9.4 percent year on year.
