China’s electricity consumption totals 346 billion kWh in November

In the January-November period of the current year total electricity consumption in China reached 3,829.8 billion kWh, while the country's electricity consumption in November amounted to 346 billion kWh.

During the January-November period in China, primary industry consumed 91.5 billion kWh of electricity, secondary industry consumed 2,856.7 billion kWh, tertiary industry consumed 411.7 billion kWh, while electricity consumption by urban and rural households totaled 469.9 billion kWh.

During the January-November period of 2010, large-scale power plants in China generated 3,774.5 billion kWh of electricity, up 14 percent year on year. Of this volume, hydroelectric power plants generated 614.8 billion kWh, up 17.5 percent year on year, thermal power plants generated 3,019.8 billion kWh, up 13 percent year on year, while nuclear power plants produced 66.9 billion kWh, up 4.8 percent year on year.
