China’s CPI rises 3.2 percent in February, PPI unchanged

In February this year, China's consumer price index (CPI) rose by 3.2 percent year on year and was down 0.1 percent month on month, according to China's National Bureau of Statistics. China's CPI had indicated a year-on-year rise of 4.5 percent in January, while in the first two months of the year it increased by 3.9 percent compared to the same period of the previous year.

In the given month, China's producer price index (PPI) was unchanged compared with the same month last year, but registered a month-on-month increase of 0.1 percent. In the first two months of 2012, China's PPI indicated an average increase of 0.4 percent year on year.
