China’s coking coal exports up 16.3 percent in January-October

In October his year, China’s exports of anthracite coal amounted to 300,000 mt, up 7.0 percent year on year, as announced by the Chinese customs authorities. In the January-October period of the current year, China’s exports of anthracite coal and coking coal totaled 2.57 million mt and 750,000 mt, increasing by 28.5 percent and by 16.3 percent year on year, respectively.

In October this year, China’s overall coal exports (including anthracite coal and coking coal) amounted to 520,000 mt, increasing by 6.5 percent year on year, while the overall coal export volume in the January-October period of the current year totaled 4.54 million mt, down 6.5 percent year on year.
