China’s steel plate imports rise by 20.2 percent in November

In November this year, China’s import volumes of steel bars, angles/channels, steel plate, and steel pipes and hollow sections amounted to 110,000 mt, 30,000 mt, 910,000 mt, and 40,000 mt, up 20.0 percent, 68.1 percent, 20.2 percent and 36.9 percent, respectively, year on year, as announced by the Chinese customs authorities.
 
In the January-November period of the current year, China’s import volumes of steel bars, angles/channels, steel plate, and steel pipes and hollow sections amounted to 1.08 million mt, 300,000 mt, 10.09 million mt, and 360,000 mt, up 11.3 percent, down 6.9 percent, up 3.3 percent and rising by 4.6 percent, respectively, year on year.
