In October this year the overall freight volume transported on China’s railways amounted to 280 million mt, down 16.3 percent year on year, while the freight traffic volume on the country’s railways totaled 197.6 billion mt-km,decreasing by 17 percent year on year, as announced by China’s National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC).
In the January-October period of the current year, freight volumes on China’s railways totaled 2.8 billion mt, down 11.9 percent, while the freight traffic volume amounted to 1.9737 trillion mt-km, decreasing by 13.6 percent, both year on year.
