China’s October crude steel output down by 17 percent year on year

According to the latest data released by the State Bureau of Statistics, China's production of pig iron, crude steel, and finished steel in October totaled 34.13 million mt, 35.9 million mt, and 42.93 million mt respectively, down by 6.71 million mt or 16.8 percent, 7.02 million mt or 17 percent, and 6.15 million mt or 12.4 percent compared with the same period last year, and representing respective month-on-month decreases of 3.42 million mt or 9.11 percent, 3.71 million mt or 9.38 percent, and 2.99 million mt or 6.51 percent.
