China’s new energy vehicle output up 1.4 percent in January-April

In April this year, China produced 37,306 new energy vehicles, increasing by 19 percent year on year, including 30,197 pure electric passenger cars and 7,108 plug-in hybrid electric vehicles, up 26.1 percent and down 3.9 percent year on year, respectively, according to the latest data issued by China Association of Automobile Manufacturers (CAAM).

In the January-April period of the current year, China’s new energy vehicle output amounted to 95,856 units, rising by 1.4 percent on year-on-year basis, including 78,351 pure electric passenger cars and 17,504 plug-in hybrid electric vehicles, up 11 percent and down 26.8 percent year on year, respectively.
