In November this year,
China’s National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC) approved eight projects for roads and railways, with an overall value totaling RMB 268.1 billion ($38.80 billion). The projects in question mostly involve transportation infrastructure construction in
China’s central and western regions, with investment in six of the projects exceeding RMB 30 billion ($4.34 billion) in each case. In particular, investment in the Ganzhou-Shenzhen railway to be built from
China’s Jiangxi Province to Guangdong Province will amount to RMB 64.1 billion ($9.28 billion), the highest investment among the eight projects.
