China’s National Audit Office focuses on energy saving

Since May this year the National Audit Office of the People's Republic of China has initiated investigations with regard to energy saving and emission reduction in the power, steel and cement sectors and in other key industries in 18 provinces of China. From October 2009 to April 2010, the National Audit Office established funds for investigations on the issue of energy saving and emission reduction in the 18 provinces in question. The actions of the National Audit Office are an indication of the great importance it attaches to the central government's policy of saving energy saving and reducing emissions, particularly in the power, steel and cement sectors.
