In June this year, China’s imports of iron ore and iron ore concentrate amounted to 94.70 million mt, up 3.47 percent month on month and increasing by 16.0 percent year on year, while in the January-June period this year China’s imports of iron ore and iron ore concentrate totaled 539.26 million mt, up 9.3 percent year on year, as announced by the Chinese customs authorities on July 14.
In June this year, China imported 1.13 million mt of finished steel, up 1.8 percent month on month and decreasing by 0.88 percent year on year. In the January-June period, China’s imports of finished steel totaled 6.46 million mt, rising by 5.3 percent year on year.
