China’s iron ore imports increase by 12 percent in January

In January this year, China’s imports of iron ore and iron ore concentrate amounted to 92 million mt, up 3.05 million mt month on month and increasing by 12 percent year on year, as announced by the Chinese customs authorities.

In January this year, China imported 1.09 million mt of finished steel, down 100,000 mt month on month and increasing by 17.7 percent year on year.
