China’s hot rolled steel sheet output up 14.1 percent in April

In April this year, China's outputs of hot rolled steel sheet, hot rolled medium-thick wide steel strip and hot rolled thin wide steel strip amounted to 0.681 million mt, 9.933 million mt and 4.473 million mt, increasing by 14.1 percent, 2.5 percent and 6.6 percent year on year, respectively, according to China's National Bureau of Statistics (NBS).

In the January-April period of the year, China's outputs of hot rolled steel sheet, hot rolled medium-thick wide steel strip and hot rolled thin wide steel strip totaled 2.578 million mt, 40.922 million mt and 18.121 million mt, increasing by 6.0 percent, 3.1 percent, and 6.3 percent year on year, respectively.
