China's GDP up 7.7 percent in 2013

China's gross domestic product (GDP) indicated a year-on-year increase of 7.7 percent to RMB 56.8845 trillion ($9.3 trillion) in 2013, as announced by China's National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) on January 20.
 
In the fourth quarter of 2013, China's GDP grew 1.8 percent compared to the third quarter and by 7.7 percent compared to the fourth quarter of 2012. In the first, second and third quarters of last year, China's GDP had increased by 7.7 percent, 7.5 percent and 7.8 percent respectively year on year.
 
In 2013, GDP of the domestic primary industry, secondary industry and tertiary industry amounted to RMB 5.6957 trillion ($0.94 trillion), RMB 24.9684 trillion ($4.1 trillion), and RMB 26.2204 trillion ($4.31 trillion), up 4.0 percent, 7.8 percent and 8.3 percent respectively year on year.
