China's GDP increases by 7.4 percent in H1

China's gross domestic product (GDP) indicated a year-on-year increase of 7.4 percent to RMB 26.9044 trillion ($4.4 trillion) in the first half of the current year, as announced by China's National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) on July 16.

In H1 this year, China's domestic primary industry, secondary industry and tertiary industry respectively contributed RMB 1.9812 trillion ($0.323 trillion), RMB 12.3871 trillion ($2.02 trillion) and RMB 12.5361 trillion ($2.045 trillion) to the country's GDP, up 3.9 percent, 7.4 percent and 8.0 percent respectively on year-on-year basis. In the second quarter of the current year, China's GDP increased by 2.0 percent compared to the first quarter.

In particular, in the first quarter this year China's GDP indicated a year-on-year increase of 7.4 percent, while rising by 7.5 percent year on year in the second quarter.
