China's GDP increases by 7.4 percent in 2014

China's gross domestic product (GDP) indicated a year-on-year increase of 7.4 percent to RMB 63.6463 trillion ($10.27 trillion) in 2014, as announced by China’s National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) on January 21.
 
In 2014, China’s domestic primary, secondary and tertiary industries respectively contributed RMB 5.8332 trillion ($0.941 trillion), RMB 27.1392 trillion ($4.377 trillion) and RMB 30.6739 trillion ($4.947 trillion) to the country’s GDP, up 4.1 percent, 7.3 percent and 8.1 percent respectively on year-on-year basis. In the fourth quarter last year, China’s GDP increased by 1.5 percent compared to the third quarter.
 
In the first quarter last year, China’s GDP indicated a year-on-year increase of 7.4 percent, while indicating rises of 7.5 percent, 7.3 percent and 7.3 percent year on year in the second, third and fourth quarters, respectively.
