China’s forex reserves rise for seventh straight month in August

As of the end of August this year, China’s foreign exchange reserves amounted to $3.09 trillion, up $10.8 billion or 0.4 percent compared to the figure recorded at the end of July, as announced by China's State Administration of Foreign Exchange on September 7. August this year was the first time a seventh consecutive month-on-month increase was observed in China’s foreign exchange reserves since June 2014.
