China exported 7.07 million mt of finished steel in June this year, down 12.39 percent month on month, while it exported 41.01 million mt of finished steel in the January-June period of the year, rising by 33.6 percent year on year, according to data issued by the Chinese customs authorities on July 10.
In the month of June, China imported 1.13 million mt of finished steel, decreasing by 7.38 percent month on month, while its finished steel imports in the first six months amounted to 7.25 million mt, up 6.1 percent year on year.
China imported 74.57 million mt of iron ore in June, declining by 3.63 percent month on month, while it imported 457.16 million mt of iron ore in the first six months of the year, up 19.1 percent on year-on-year basis. In June this year, China exported 520,000 mt of metallurgical coke, down 48 percent month on month, while it exported 3.93 million mt of coke in the first six months, increasing by 159.6 percent year on year.
