China's finished steel exports increase by 37.6% in Jan

In January this year, China exported 6.77 million mt of finished steel, up 37.6 percent year on year and rising by 1.4 million mt compared with the previous month, as announced by China's General Administration of Customs on February 12.
 
In January, China imported 1.35 million mt of finished steel, rising by 22.5 percent year and year and up 11.57 percent month on month. Meanwhile, in the given month, China imported 86.83 million mt of iron ore concentrate, increasing by 33 percent year and year and up 18.33 percent month on month. In addition, China's export volume of metallurgical coke in January of the current year amounted to 740,000 mt, decreasing by 10,000 mt compared with the previous month.
