SteelOrbis Shanghai According to the figures released by the State Bureau of Statistics, China's producers price index (PPI) increased 3 percent year on year in February. The increase is lower than that in January 2006 and December 2005. This shows that the increase range of ex-factory price of industrial products keep going down, reducing the pressure on consumer prices. The cumulative PPI for January and February also increased 3 percent year on year. China's PPI was 4.9 percent higher from a year earlier in 2005. The PPI increase in 2004 was 6.1 percent.
