China’s external trade value rises in early May

In early May (May 1-10) this year, China's total external trade value reached $109.77 billion, rising by 27.6 percent year on year, according to the Chinese customs authorities.
 
In particular, in the given period China's export value rose by 27.3 percent, while its import value was up 28 percent, both year on year, as compared with year-on-year increases of 4.9 percent for exports and 0.3 percent for imports in April.
