China’s crude steel production up 24.6% in 2005

SteelOrbis Shanghai China's crude steel production increased 24.6 percent year on year to 349.36 million metric tons in 2005. The country's total production in December reached 32.04 million metric tons, up 16.2 percent year on year. Through 2005, Hebei accounted for 73.86 million metric tons of total production, up 25.3 percent year on year; Jiangsu accounted for 32.84 million metric tons, up 31.6 percent; Shandong accounted for 31.84 million metric tons, up 61.1 percent, and Liaoning accounted for 30.57 million metric tons, up 18 percent.
