China’s crude steel output up 1.2 percent in 2016

In December last year, China produced 57.47 million mt of pig iron, 67.22 million mt of crude steel and 95.71 million mt of finished steel, indicating respective increases of 4.1 percent, 3.2 percent and decrease of 0.2 percent year on year, as announced by China's National Bureau of Statistics (NBS).

In 2016, China produced 700.74 million mt of pig iron, 808.37 million mt of crude steel and 1.13801 billion mt of finished steel, up 0.7 percent, up 1.2 percent and increasing by 2.3 year on year, respectively.
