China's crude steel output rises 4.3% in Nov.

The latest figures released by China's National Bureau of Statistics indicate that in November the country's output of pig iron rose 10.4 percent to 39.91 million mt, its crude steel output increased by 4.3 percent to 39.69 million mt, while its output of finished steel products went up by 12.7 percent to reach 47.68 million mt. The growth rates have seen a considerable slowdown compared with the previous ten months, particularly in the case of crude steel. Previously during the current year, the lowest growth rate year on year in crude steel output was registered in October at 13.5 percent.

Also during November, China's raw coal production and electricity generation reached 210 million mt and 275.5 billion KW/h respectively, rising by 8.0 percent and 13.8 percent. Cement output rose by 10.1 percent to 130 million mt, while automotive vehicle output increased 21.7 percent to 865,000 units, including 482,000 car units with a growth of 25.8 percent.
