China’s CPI rises by 1.8 percent in August

In August this year, China’s consumer price index (CPI) indicated a year-on-year increase of 1.8 percent, while it increased by 0.4 percent month on month, according to data released by China's National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) on September 9.

At the same time, the average CPI during January-August period of the year rose by 1.5 percent year on year.
