China’s coal imports down 41.5 percent in Q1

China exported 320,000 mt of coal in March this year, down 56.76 percent year on year, while it exported 980,000 mt of coal in the first three months of the year, decreasing by 50.4 percent year on year, according to data issued by the Chinese customs authorities on April 13.

In March, China imported 17.03 million mt of coal, decreasing by 32.66 percent year on year, while its coal imports in the first three months amounted to 49.07 million mt, down 41.5 percent year on year.
