China Shenhua Energy’s coal output down 9.9 percent in January-May

China Shenhua Energy Company, a listed subsidiary of Shenhua Group - the largest coal company in China, has announced that its coal output in May this year amounted to 24.20 million mt, down four percent year on year - the ninth consecutive year-on-year decrease, while increasing by 5.2 percent month on month. In the first five months of the current year, China Shenhua Energy Company's coal output amounted to 116.50 million mt, down 9.9 percent year on year.

Meanwhile, China Shenhua Energy Company sold 36.60 million mt of coal in May, down 3.7 percent year on year, while rising by 17.3 percent month on month. In the first five months of the current year, its coal sales volume amounted to 140.60 million mt, down 24.7 percent year on year.
