China MCC20 Group wins tender for Bohai Steel’s relocation project

Shanghai-based China MCC20 Group (MCC20), a subsidiary of China Metallurgical Group Corporation (MCC), has won a tender for the relocation of the converter and continuous casting facilities of Hebei Province-based Chinese steelmaker Bohai Iron & Steel from the city of Tangshan to the industrial zone at Fengnan port in Hebei, as announced by MCC.

The facilities include two 200 mt converters, a hot metal pretreatment station, a ladle furnace, and a double RH vacuum refining facility. The relocation is expected to be completed by October 31, 2016.
