China XD Group inks strategic cooperation deal with WISCO

China XD Group, a major Chinese manufacturer of transformers, has signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Chinese steelmaker Wuhan Iron and Steel Co. (WISCO), as announced by the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission (SASAC).

According to the agreement, the two state-owned companies will cooperate in information sharing, in developing their domestic and overseas markets, and also in building a joint research laboratory for applications of silicon steel. WISCO and XD Group had previously cooperated on a large power suppy equipment project.
