China sees increased foreign trade in January-June

On July 10, the Chinese customs authorities announced that China's foreign trade in June this year reached a total value of $328.69 billion, up nine percent year on year. The value of China's exports in June totaled $180.21 billion, up 11.3 percent, while the value of its imports reached $148.48 billion, up 6.3 percent, both year on year. Accordingly, China's trade surplus in June totaled $31.73 billion, rising by 42.9 percent year on year.

In the first half of the current year, China's foreign trade totaled $1.83984 trillion in value, up eight percent year on year. China's exports in the given period amounted to $954.38 billion, increasing by 9.2 percent, while its imports were worth $885.46 billion, rising by 6.7 percent, both year on year. China's trade surplus for the first six months amounted to $68.92 billion, rising by 56.4 percent year on year.
