China MCC5 to supply equipment for steelmaking project in Qinghai

Chinese metallurgical engineering and construction company China MCC5 Group, a subsidiary of state-owned China Metallurgical Group, has announced that it has won a contract to supply sintering, casting and rolling equipment for a steelmaking project in Golmud Kunlun Economic Development Zone in Qinghai Province. Qinghai-based Chinese company Qinghua Mining, Smelting and Coking Group Co. is the principal investor in the project which has been listed among the top 10 industrial investment projects in Qinghai Province during China's 12th five-year plan period (2011-15).
 
The total production capacity of the project is expected to be 5 million mt per year. MCC5 will be responsible for supplying one 180 m3 sintering machine as well as continuous casting and continuous rolling equipment.
