China Construction Steel Structure starts building large facility in Tianjin

On May 7, Beijing-based China Construction Steel Structure Co. started construction work on its new steel structure manufacturing plant in Tianjing, with the plant expected to become the largest steel structure manufacturing center in northern China, as reported by local media in Tianjin.

Investment in the plant in question, which is being built on a site of 33 hectares, will total RMB 1.5 billion ($243.9 million). Production operations are due to commence at the end of December this year, with an annual steel structure output capacity of around 300,000 mt. The products produced by the plant will be used mainly in the construction of houses, bridges and industrial plants.
