China Coal Energy’s net profit up 175.2 percent in H1

Chinese coal company China Coal Energy Company Limited (China Coal Energy) has announced an operating revenue of RMB 37.104 billion ($5.66 billion) for the first half of the current year, up 41.1 percent year on year, while it recorded a net profit of RMB 1.696 billion ($0.26 billion) for the given period, up 175.2 percent year on year compared the net profit of RMB 616 million recorded in the same period last year.

China Coal Energy stated the Chinese coal industry performed well due to supply-side reforms in the first half of the year, while the company improved its management, which also contributed to its better performance in the period in question.
