China’s Ministry of Commerce (MOC) announced on August 14 that China will ban imports of iron ore, coal, lead ores, seafood and some other goods from North Korea as of August 15 in order to implement resolution 2371 of the United Nations Security Council. Any cargo of the goods in question already on the way from North Korea to China will be cleared as usual by Chinese customs ahead of the sanction deadline.
