Chengde Steel to supply steel products to CNOOC for first time

Hebei Province-based Chinese steelmaker Hebei Iron and Steel Group has announced that its subsidiary Chengde Iron and Steel Co. has received an order for 7,000 mt of rebar from China National Offshore Oil Corp. (CNOOC), one of China's major national oil and gas companies. The rebar in question is of 36 mm and 40 mm in diameter.

This is the first time that Chengde Steel will supply steel products directly to CNOOC, which is the largest offshore oil and gas supplier in China.
