Chengde Steel supplies HRB 500 rebar to Taishan nuclear plant

Chinese steelmaker Chengde Iron and Steel (Chengde Steel) has so far produced 3,048.25 mt of 32 mm diameter vanadium-added HRB 500 rebar for the Taishan nuclear power plant project, according to Chengde Steel's parent company Hebei Iron and Steel Group.

Chengde Steel will supply a total of 5,150 mt of vanadium-added HRB 500 rebar for this project.

Taishan nuclear power plant is the largest joint investment project carried out by China and France. It is expected to come on stream at the end of 2013.
